Leadership Weekend Trainings

Greetings all,

WADADS is very pleased to announce our upcoming Leadership Weekends, which are set for two weekends this August.

But, before you sign up, let me describe this training...

This is an intensive learning and skill set development weekend, for those whose wish to expand their horizons, and become more actively involved in participating and working with the systems that provide services for our kids.

This is not a retreat, there are short breaks, but no R and R time. This is a working weekend, not a respite or self-care weekend.

We will be covering different leadership styles, authorized and unauthorized leaders, telling our story, the Buddy System, effective speaking, group safety, what to expect as a leader, vision of greatness, leadership practices inventory, and more.

In addition, there is a data collection component to this curriculum. The Mental Health Transformation Project has provided the funding for these two weekends. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the training, there will be:

• a baseline survey of your current skill sets
• an evaluation of the materials presented
• a 60 day follow up to determine the benefits of the curriculum

A condition of your attendance is the completion of all 3 surveys, in a timely manner. This data will help determine the frequency of future training weekends, and of course, funding for those additional workshops.

So, if you are still interested, here are some additional details:

The weekend is free to attend, your meals and lodging are provided.

If you are serious about learning to become an effective leader, and you will complete the three surveys, then please join us for the weekend that fits your schedule.

Each weekend is limited to 20 attendees, so please fill out the registration form below, noting the fields marked with an asterisk (*), are required to be filled in.

After you complete the registration form, you will see a confirmation page, noting that your registration has been successfully submitted. We will determine the list of attendees, and they will be notified that they have secured a spot for the weekend they selected.

Notifications will be sent out by the middle of July.
